I'm a researcher at the National Research Council, Italy. I was a Marie Curie postdoctoral researcher with Pedro Cardoso in 2020–22, and I continue to collaborate with the group whenever possible. I primarily focus on the ecology and conservation of subterranean ecosystems. I'm also deeply interested in the human perceptions of biodiversity, from the media representation of wildlife to biases in species knowledge in scientific practice. Finally, I like developing methods for estimating functional diversity.
