Artificial Intelligence is a burgeoning science and set of techniques that is revolutionizing biodiversity science in general. In LIBRe we work on different facets of this science, including biodiversity databases (with collaborations with GBIF and the Finnish Biodiversity Information Facility), novel ways of publishing data (with collaborations with the Biodiversity Data Journal). Using different artificial intelligence methods, we intend to create tools that allow finding hidden relationships, models and principles in ecology derived from increasing amounts of ecological data.
